What are your thoughts on Gays serving OPENLY in the military?

don't ask don't tell is out of date - if you are going to allow gays to serve (as they currently can as long as they don't tell anyone) then they should be able to serve openly. We have lost a lot of good linguists in the past that happened to be gay forcing us to rely on native born Iraqi's for interpreters - call me crazy I would rather have a gay US Soldier than a native born Iraqi serving with me. Also call me crazy but I could care less what a soldier does in their private life as long as they do their job - if they want to volunteer and perform as expected than there is no issue.
