If we are allies, why does it matter who saved who at certain times?

It doesn't. What matters is we keep strong diplomatic ties, rather than claiming or trying to shame the other by saying 'We saved your es in ectect.'. Does it really matter that's history and history can't be changed, it set in stone now. What matters is the future and keeping friendship with other countries stronger.
