LG dishwasher- where is solenoid or float? I unscrewed the white thing on the bottom with holes around....?

but I don't know where the float actually is! My dishwasher isn't filling up with water, it is just humming and draining. I checked the incoming water, and that is working. I don't want to put money into it now!
